Data we collect

• Identity and contact details you submit (name, email, phone if provided).
• Message content, preferred session dates, and consultation preferences.
• Documents you voluntarily send for review (for example Lebenslauf files).
• Technical data such as browser type and approximate location derived from server logs.
• Cookie preferences stored locally in your browser (see our cookies page).

Purposes and legal bases

We process data to respond to inquiries, deliver booked consultations, improve site reliability, and meet legal record-keeping duties. Legal bases under the GDPR include Art. 6(1)(b) (contract/pre-contract steps), Art. 6(1)(f) (legitimate interests in operating a secure site), and Art. 6(1)(a) where you consent to non-essential cookies.

Retention

Inquiry emails are kept up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact unless a longer period is required for accounting or disputes. Session notes tied to a paid consultation are retained up to 36 months. Server logs are typically rotated within 90 days.

Processors and transfers

We may use email and hosting providers inside the EU/EEA. If a provider stores data outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses. We do not sell personal data.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection where applicable. You may withdraw consent for optional cookies at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, such as the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit.

International applicants

If you contact us from outside Germany, your message will be processed in Germany to provide the requested consulting information.
